Program Highlights
The State Center Welding Program is an innovative not-for-credit cohort-based workforce development program that seeks to train individuals in the community for a career in the in-demand field of welding.
Over 18 weeks of accelerated training, students gain the skills and knowledge they need to have a successful career as a welder. Program completers will have the opportunity to gain their American Welding Society (AWS) certifications in GMAW, FCAW and SMAW welding.

- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)

Class Dates & Times
- July 22, 2024 - November 9, 2024: Monday: 5:00pm - 8:00pm(Classroom) | Tuesday/Friday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm(Lab) | Saturday: 8:00am - 3:30pm(Lab)

Registration Fee
- $6,495.00*
- *Scholarships are available through our partner organizations. Scholarships may cover full or partial fees & required equipment. The above questionnaire will be screened for scholarship eligibility.

Combination of in-person and online training.
Welding Lab is located at Fresno City College West Campus located at 600 E Church Ave., Fresno, CA 93706
Job placement assistance available upon completion of the training!
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received up to five (5) working days before the course start date are refundable, minus a $25 processing fee. After that, cancellations are subject to the entire course fee. Please note that if you don't cancel and don't attend, you are responsible for payment.
