President Buckley hosted our annual State of the College Breakfast January 28 in the McClarty Center for Fine and Performing Arts in front of approximately 150 people. Dr. Buckley’s address took a look back at the 2023-2024 academic year, as well as glimpse into the future of our campus with the Vision 2035 planning process. The morning started with a breakfast prepared by our Tiger Café staff, followed by Dr. Buckley’s presentation, which also included two student speakers who shared their Reedley College experiences. Brandon Howard and Ana Zavala Alcantar talked about their journeys to our campus and the support they’ve received through services, instructors, and coaches. The event raised over ten-thousand dollars through sponsorships and breakfast tickets, with almost half of the proceeds going towards seven student scholarships. Close to two-thousand dollars that was raised will go directly to the President’s General Fund. Special thanks to our sponsors who helped make this event a huge success: Mulholland Education Foundation (Gold Sponsor), Darden Architects, HMC Farms, Radiant Valley Interpreting, Cedar and Shields Laundromat, and Valley ROP (Silver Sponsors), and California Teaching Fellows and the SCCCD Foundation (Bronze Sponsors).
