A beautiful new granite monument now resides on the Library Lawn in honor of our local Native American tribal community. Our Choinumni monument dedication ceremony took place January 11, with more than 100 people present. The monument is engraved with a message of friendship, partnership, and recognition of the people who first resided on the land our campus is built upon. The ceremony included messages from President Buckley and members of the Choinumni community. The event continued outside the McClarty Center for Fine and Performing Arts, which included cultural demonstrations, native American food, vendors, and dancers.
