Congratulations to Spanish Instructor Franchesca Amezola, who was inducted into the Muro de Honor December 10. Muro de Honor recognizes the contributions of dedicated and outstanding members of the Chicano/Latino community associated with the State Center Community College District. The ceremony took place at Arte Americas - Casa De La Cultura in Downtown Fresno. "It is truly an honor to be a 2024 inductee to SCCCD's Muro de Honor," Franchesca said. "I find it encouraging and rewarding to work for a district that acknowledges and celebrates the positive contributions of Latino Americans/Chicanos within our organization. It is inspiring to work with colleagues that value different cultures and approaches to life. In diversity, there is power, as it makes an organization more flexible in thinking. It is a privilege to have been added to the list of successful Latino Americans/Chicanos that work daily for the betterment of our institution and its services." Franchesca was inducted with former Fresno City College Public Information Officer Kathy Bonilla, who passed away in September, and CalWORKs Senior Program Specialist Monique Reyna of Fresno City College.
