Feb 11, 2019

literary-arts2.jpgThe speaker series got off to a great start with farmer, author, artist and community leader Nikiko Masumoto, who gave an inspirational message to a packed house in Forum Hall January 29. She also answered questions from the audience. Nikiko is also the co-founder of the Yonsei Memory Project, which helps bring to light the injustices Japanese-Americans faced during World War II and also seeks to heal the wounds suffered during that time. The rest of the series is as follows:

  • February 22 (6:00 PM, Forum Hall): showing of “The Wife”
  • March 7 (7:00 PM, Cafeteria): Meg Wolitzer
  • April 4 (7:00 PM, Forum Hall): Manuel Munoz and Helena Maria Viramontes
