Welcome to Reedley College online orientation. This orientation is art of the matriculation process designed to bring you into a contract-like partnership with Reedley College. This partnership will assist you in the completion of your educational goal.

The Matriculation process at Reedley College contains these important components:

Application for Admission is the process of:

  • Completing the online application (if you're unable to complete an application online you will need to contact the Admissions and Records office at (559) 638-0323).
  • Providing any necessary documentation which may include high school transcripts.

Orientation is designed to inform you of:

  • Reedley College's policies and procedures.
  • Support services available to students.
  • Rights and responsibilities - yours and the College's.

Assessment is an evaluation process that:

  • Is based on the information provided to us by you, the student, on the General Assessment Test.
  • Is designed to help determine your strengths and weaknesses in Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills, and Math.
  • Will help you and your counselor determine appropriate class placement for maximum success.
  • You cannot FAIL the assessment test. You may take the test up to two times but must have a counselor referral for a second attempt.

Counseling will help you:

  • Plan your schedule each semester.
  • Find information specifically applicable to your educational goal.
  • Plan a long-term schedule (SEP) to ensure completion of your goal in a timely manner.
  • Answer any questions or help you with any problems that arise while you are attending Reedley College.

Student Educational Plan (SEP):

  • Is a plan detailing the coursework that is required to meet Reedley College certificate, graduation, or transfer requirements.
  • Must be completed by a Reedley College counselor. It will note the classes you have completed and the classes you still need to take.
  • Should include courses you have taken at other schools.  To speed up the process of completing your SEP, bring your own copy of High School transcripts or other college/university transcripts with you when you visit a counselor.

Please note: some students are exempt from portions of, or all of the matriculation process. For a complete description of the matriculation process, or to view the Matriculation Exemption Policy and/or the Matriculation Waiver form, please E-mail rc.outreach@reedleycollege.edu.
